Frinshable : Curiosity Lands on Mars: NASA’s Behind the Scenes Images

Twitter users and astronauts alike erupted in cheers Monday morning (Sunday evening PT), as the 2,000-pound NASA Mars Rover Curiosity landed on the red planet.

In an outer-space first, MarsRover posted a TwitPic from Mars’s surface.

Beyond Curiosity’s tweeting, NASA shared an album of emotional images to its Flickr page, which we’ve included in the gallery above. Of course, we’re all waiting eagerly to see what Curiosity does on Mars, and to see the sure to be breathtaking images that result.
